With IT replacing middle level management, software jobs are more lucrative than MBAs.
Software professionals have analytical skills which is good for management jobs as well so IT professional have choice to move to management job any time in his career but it's not same for an MBA.
Software professionals have opportunity to work abroad so; there job is more lucrative and growth is also better then MBAs. MBA's can't get exposure and benefits of working abroad easily.
Pay scale of Software professional is lesser compared to MBA's pay scale. In software field middle level employee can make 10 lakhs per annum but an MBA can make around 15 to 20 lakhs per annum.
People who want to manage other people do not have scope in the software field.
MBA and software both having there advantages it depends on, what kind of opportunity we are getting.
