Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps for Future Engineers More Details...


Belgaum: With a view to expose engineering students in the State to entrepreneurship as an alternative career, VTU Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Belgaum, will be conducting Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps (EACs). Already nine such EACs have been conducted at various engineering colleges during the last even semester. During this odd semester, 11 EACs are planned to be held in various engineering colleges. Each camp of three days duration will be conducted at the premises of engineering colleges and aims at creating awareness among students about various facets of entrepreneurship while highlighting the merits of pursuing such a career option. In each EAC, about 75 students will be exposed to different aspects of entrepreneurship, including entrepreneurial opportunities, business environment scanning, technology changes, marketing, business plan preparation, entrepreneurial motivation training etc. A visit to the industries located in the region will also be arranged to bring the students in direct touch with practicing entrepreneurs. Three EACs will be held in August at S J B Institute of Technology, Bangalore from August 20 to 22, Nagarjuna College of Engineering, Bangalore from August 23 to 25 and CMR Institute of Technology, Bangalore from August 27 to 29. All the programmes are sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi.
