There are 3 bags.all the 3 bags having label on them .one bag have red socks having lable red,2nd bag has black socks having lable black,third bag have red and black socks labled mixed
All 3 bags with labels are COMPLETELY mislabeled.
You will be allowed to take only one piece of socks from one of the bagss to examine it.
Which bag would you choose? How do you correctly re-label all three bags?
Answer:
Let us try the red bag (bag 1) first. If you are lucky, you pick up an red sox in it you won't be able to tell that what could be in next 2 bags
If you select the black sox bag (bag 2), it will be the same as selecting the red sox bag.
The only choice is to select from the bag labeled "mixed" (bag 3).
We know it is mislabeled so that it CANNOT contain mixed colours.If you pick up an red, then you know that the box labeled "black" must contain the mixed Colours.
If you pick up an black , the black box can have red only. The red box will then be the mixed colours.
