Eligibility:An applicant should have a minimum of three-year bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities / AICTE as eligible for Post-Graduate Studies in Management. Candidates appearing for the final examination for the bachelor's degree (or equivalent examination) can also apply subject to furnishing evidence to that effect latest by 1st October, 2006, otherwise they may be asked to withdraw from the program.
Entrance Test: Applicants are required to appear for the COMMON ADMISSION TEST (CAT) conducted by IIMs, to be held on 20th November, 2005.

The PGDCA course at IMT started in 1986. Today, it serves as a locus of contemporary IT and management education, training, development, research and consultancy. In over two decades of its existence IMT has instilled in its student managers an intellectual and social experience that is unique in its richness of quality, variety, relevance and depth.The aim of IMT is to mould professionals prepared for the rigors of industry. Breaking away from the widely prevalent theoretically capable concept of managers, IMT believes in the making of practical managers trained to face the challenges of the 21st century.
Relevant professional experience is an integral part of all programmes at IMT. All PGDCA students are required to have a component of practical experience in the form of:Summer training of 8 to 10 weeks after second and fourth semester (optional).mandatory industrial training of 22 weeks in the sixth semester
Eligibility:The minimum qualification for PGDCA and MCA (Industry Integrated) is Bachelors degree in any discipline with mathematics upto 10 + 2 level. Candidate completing their qualifying examination by 15th June 2005 may also apply. They can be admitted provisionally subject to their production of degree by November 2005.
Entrance Test: Selection for the PGDCA and MCA (Industry Integrated) is through written admission test, Group Discussion and Interview. The admission test is usually held in the month of April.
Final selection is based on the candidates performance in admission test, Group Discussion, Interview and academic record/ workexperience.
The students of three year full time PGDCA course will compulsorily have to reside in the hostels. No exceptions are allowed under any circumstances.

The Fourth Batch of Fifteen-Month Full Time Residential Post Graduate Diploma in Executive Management (PGDEM) that includes a two-weeks overseas programme in European Union countries, began in March, 2004. Registration Period Requirement
The Ph.D. programme can be pursued either as a part-time or a full-time student.(a) The minimum period of registration after which a candidate can submit his/her thesis shall be- For full-time candidates Two years from the date of registration.- For part-time candidates Four years from the date of registration.(b) A full time candidate shall normally be allowed to submit his thesis within a period of 5 years from the date of registration and part time candidate shall normally be allowed to submit his thesis within duration of six years from the date of registration. However, in exceptional cases, these limits may be extended according to GGSIP University Rules.
EligibilityAn applicant possessing any one of the following qualifications shall be eligible to apply for admission:A Masters degree or equivalent from a recognized university/institute with minimum 60% marks.A Bachelors degree in Engineering / Technology, with a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate and a minimum of three years or 60% or more marks in aggregate and a minimum of fifteen years of relevant experience in recognised Institute/University/Industry/Government Organisation.
Selection ProcedureThe candidates are short listed for interviews from the received applications by research committee. The short listing is done to ensure a reasonable fitment between the candidates academic/research background and the programmes expectations. Only the short listed candidates are sent communications from the institute about the date of their interviews. The successful candidates in the interviews are sent the admission offer into the programme by the admission department.
Fees and Expenses:Ph.D. scholars do not have to pay any tuition fees for the course work. However, scholars have to pay registration / continuation / thesis evaluation fee as per GGSIP University and IMT norms. Presently a continuation fee of Rs.4000/- per trimester is charged from the part Ph.D. scholars. The fee structure is subject to changes from time-to-time. All such changes are applicable to our existing scholars as well.
Financial AssistanceThose students who are admitted on full-time basis are considered for the award of Institutional Fellowship of Rs.10,000/- p.m.The students getting instutional fellowship will have to work under the supervisor and assist in institutes day-to-day academic activities.Fellowship will be limited and based on recommendation of the Committee formed by Dean (Academics ) / Chairman, which include external experts.Progress shall be monitored on the basis of publications/academics achievements on half yearly basis.Fellowship shall be given for one year initially and will be revised after monitoring the progress.
It is to be noted that admission to the programme and award of fellowship are not necessarily linked. Admission to programme does not guarantee the award of fellowship. Those who are not awarded fellowship can continue with the programme as self-financing student.
On completion of all requirements of Ph.D., the students shall have to submit the thesis which on the recommendations of the Research Committee shall be examined by a panel of examiners as approved by the University. If the examiners report is in favour of the thesis then the students shall be allowed to make an open presentation and defend the work in the presence of the committee. Based on the final recommendations of the committee the successful student shall be awarded the title of Doctor of Philosophy?? by the University.
Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (Part Time)
The three year Part-time Post Graduate Programme in Management has specially been designed to impart high quality of management education to working executives. This programme gives an edge in developing managerial competencies to working managers desirous of moving to higher responsibilities. The programme is designed taking into consideration the demands on time of working executives without compromising on academic rigour.
